Professor Lord is head of the Gastro-oesophageal Research Program at the St Vincent’s Centre for Applied Medial Research (AMR). His laboratory studies the genetic basis and the effectiveness of treatments for the following diseases:

  • Barrett’s oesophagus
  • Oesophageal cancer
  • Obesity
  • Bariatric surgery (weight loss surgery)
  • Reflux disease
